P.A. Lauren was professional in every way and very articulate in explaining my condition and what I needed to do during recovery in terms that I could understand and implement. . She was very patient with my questions that some might find unnecessary. To me the doctor patient relationship is the cornerstone of medicine . With all the demands put on doctors it is not possible for them to do all things. Plus they are needed making the most of their specialized skills and avoiding burnout. The Physicial Assistant and nursing staffs are vital and play a large role in cementing that doctor patient relationship . What may be overlooked but should not be is the extensive training , hours upon hours of study , and grueling hours of training PAs endure to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to qualify to become PAs .Lauren’s patients , me included, are blessed that she made that commitment! Ms. Morris understood the sense of urgency I felt for acquiring surgical clearance to remove a malignancy and was able to see me the very next day. She was very thorough reviewing my history and test results and was able to get the clearance to the surgeon in a timely manner. Something that stood out to me was the friendliness of all personnel I was involved with. Unlike other hospitals, it was a very pleasant visit. Personnel spoke plainly, no chewing gum or mumbling. They all appeared concerned and were very helpful.

Knowing my health history and friendliness
The efficiency and care at this facility - intake, nurses, doctors - are always excellent. And WakeMed MyChart makes communication easy.
Lauren had spent hours reviewing all of my paperwork from the ER along with reviewing all info from my defib. Most medical staff does not do that. She also offered me a choice on an additional treatment for my high [ ] instead of adding to my current [Rx] med which gives me severe cramps. New med is not causing the leg cramps. I have always admired the staff at Wake Heart. Dr. [ ] is absolutely phenomenal and so is Lauren. I always recommend Wake Heart.
Ms. Wilson was very courteous and friendly. I was concerned that I was scheduled to see a P.A. rather than the doctor but she is very professional and knowledgeable. She put me at ease immediately.

I am very impressed with my level of care. I am relocated from New York City and expect quite a lot. I live in Wilson and travel to Wake Med in Raleigh purposely because of their expertise enhanced by their cooperation with each other and their seemingly special and swift attention to each individual patient. I'm looking for all of it at all times. I have yet to find any cardiovascular physicians near my home to compare. PLEASE keep up te great work!
Teamwork among staff
Before my appt I had an electrocardiogram as always for my yearly checkup. The technician was Bobbi, I believe her name was? But she was so nice and respectful and helping. She didn't seem rushed which was nice. One thing that stood out, I told her I had [ ], surgery. I'm still in therapy and I have limited ROM. She helped me get my cape on, and was very careful with me. That meant alot to me!
