Patient Care Philosophy
It has been very gratifying to hear how much better the patients are feeling after their procedures have been completed. It is a very rewarding patient population to work with. You often feel that this could be your family.
Physician Bio

Jessica C. Revels, RN, FNP, joined WakeMed in 2007, and has worked in inpatient and outpatient cardiology throughout her nursing career. She decided to pursue a career in cardiology after she participated in an externship during nursing school and saw the impact cardiology makes on patients’ lives.

Her areas of clinical interest are heart disease in women and in the geriatric population. On the Structural Heart team, Jessica serves as an advanced practice provider for the duration of the patient’s treatment.

“I really enjoy this role because I am able to follow the patient prior to their procedure, through the procedure, and then also see how they are doing after they are discharged,” she said. “Our patients are very grateful and if you sit and listen to them, they all have great life stories to tell.”

When Jessica is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling and doing anything outside.
