Physician Bio

Dr. Jesse Hart is a board-certified pediatrician with WakeMed Pediatric Practices. Before joining WakeMed, she was a full-time pediatrician at Capitol Pediatric and Adolescent Center in Raleigh. Dr. Hart’s areas of interest include caring for children with complex psychosocial needs, patient advocacy and adolescent medicine.

Dr. Hart received her medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, completed her residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and received a BS with honors from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Dr. Hart worked in the WakeMed pediatric clinic during her UNC residency and says it was one of her favorite rotations.

“At WakeMed I developed a passion for continuity of care, and I committed to being a pediatrician who goes the extra mile to connect with and advocate for patients and their families,” she said.

 She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, North Carolina Pediatric Society and UNC School of Medicine Academy of Educators, and she is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Hart has volunteered at clinics providing health care services to underserved populations in the United States and Guatemala, and has numerous honors to her credit, including the James Emonson Children’s Hospital Honour, Rebecca Socolar Children’s Champion Resident Award, Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, Cor Et Manus Award for Extraordinary Community Service and Gold Humanism Honor Society.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, as well as travel, music, sports and cooking.
