Flu is prevalent in our community right now. Visit our Flu Resource Center to learn about flu prevention, signs and symptoms, and help us protect our patients, families and staff from RSV and the flu by following these visitation restrictions.

  • No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed in patient care areas.
  • Please do not visit patients if you are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea or cold or flu-like symptoms.

WakeMed Rehab Hospital, Health ParkWith nearly 40,000 square feet, the Health Park at WakeMed sets a new standard in care.

This one-of-a-kind facility offers an environment much like any other park - curbs, bridges, various walking surfaces, plants, trees and park benches. The Health Park also features a putting green, fish pond, boat and walking track complete with a special area just for kids.

The Health Park was designed to be the perfect relearning environment for patients. Here, people who've suffered a stroke, severe physical trauma or debilitating illness can relearn the life skills they need to regain their independence and return to as normal a life as possible.

Also housed in the facility is Healthworks, WakeMed's medically directed fitness and wellness program. Healthworks offers a broad range of exercise and educational programs including cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab, Safe Way to Fitness and other community-based activities designed for people with varying needs.
