Biography

Dr. Rosa Yueh Messer is a board-certified physician in internal medicine with extensive experience in providing outpatient services to adult patients. She previously worked for WakeMed Physician Practices' Division of Internal Medicine from 2002-07, and served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine during that same time. Prior to that, she practiced privately in Louisville, KY, and was an attending physician at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Messer received her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago and completed postgraduate training Northwestern Memorial Hospital in internal medicine and at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

She is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Internal Medicine; the American Medical Association, the North Carolina Medical Society and the Wake County Medical Society. She also has served on the board of directors for April's Angels since 2005.
