Dr. Patrick Hranitzky is a board certified cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in cardiac arrhythmias, catheter ablations and heart rhythm disorders. Additionally, he has interests in the evaluation and management of cardiac dyssynchrony in heart failure patients, extraction of ICD/pacemaker hardware, and genomics/proteomics of electrophysiologic phenotypes. An accomplished researcher, Dr. Hranitzky has written and co-authored many articles in the area of electrophysiology. He chose to join WakeMed because of the outstanding cardiology services available here as well as the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, expert physicians and excellent nursing staff.

As a cardiac electrophysiologist, Dr. Hranitzky enjoys being able to see and care for patients of all ages as well as being able to follow patients in their care over the course of years. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, hiking and any activity that involves being outdoors.
