Ezmin George, MD is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician with WakeMed Physician Practices. She provides pulmonology and critical care consultation for hospital inpatients and also sees patients in private practice with WakeMed Physician Practices – Pulmonology. Her clinical interests include COPD, asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, pulmonary nodules, lung cancer and chronic cough.
Dr. George earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed internship and residency programs in internal medicine at The University of Chicago. She then completed a fellowship program in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. George joins WakeMed most recently from Sentara Princess Anne Hospital where she served as a staff physician and director of respiratory therapy.
Dr. George is board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine and pulmonary medicine. She is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians. In her free time, Dr. George enjoys traveling, experiencing new things, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
