Dr. Dustin Pierson joined WakeMed Physician Practices - Primary Care after completing the Family Medicine Residency Program at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem. With medical interests in adult and child care as well as urgent care, Dr. Pierson's experience includes work at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Emergency Department and a medical mission to Kenya with the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Mercy Center Foundation.
Dr. Pierson received his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and bachelor's degrees in biochemistry and biological sciences from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians. Outside of medicine, Dr. Pierson stays active by playing golf, fishing and hiking. He also enjoys water sports, travel and college football.
