Dr. Amy Erickson joined WakeMed Primary Care as a board-certified physician in family medicine with experience in practicing family medicine with Duke Medicine as well as the U.S. Air Force. She also brings teaching and research experience to Brier Creek Medical Group, along with NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) certification in diabetes. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians.
She received her medical degree in osteopathic medicine from The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Biddeford, ME, where she belonged to the Psi Sigma Alpha National Scholastic Honor Society and was in the top 15% of her medical school class. She completed her residency in family practice at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University's College of Human Ecology in Ithaca, NY.
