Cold and Flu Season Can Be a Monster

Flu & Cold Season Can Be A Monster

Help us protect our patients, families and staff from RSV and the flu by following these visitation restrictions currently in effect.

  • No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed in patient care areas.
  • Please do not visit patients if you are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea or cold or flu-like symptoms.

Cary Hospital Level III Nursery

WakeMed Cary Hospital has a Special Care Nursery that provides care for babies needing short-term intensive care. The facility shares a full-time staff of highly skilled neonatologists and 24-hour neonatal nurse practitioners with our Raleigh Campus.

If necessary, babies can easily be transferred to the Raleigh Campus for a higher level of medical care via our specially equipped Children's Transport Team. If a baby is transferred to the Raleigh Campus, we also make every effort to transfer the mother to the Women's Pavilion & Birthplace - Raleigh so she can complete her post-partum stay closer to her child.
