Bridget Donell, MD

Dr. Bridget Donell has been a board-certified pediatric intensivist and pediatric hospitalist with WakeMed Physician Practices - Pediatrics since 2009 and is also a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine. She is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care.

She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, and completed her pediatric residency at UNC, followed by a pediatric critical care fellowship, also at UNC. She has a master's degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology from Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Donell is the Medical Director of the Pediatric Critical Care and Hospital Medicine Department. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Society of Critical Care Medicine. In addition to her board certification with the American Board of Pediatrics, she is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
