Technology to Remove Clots

Technology to Stop Stroke

Intra-arterial mechanical thrombectomy is a minimally invasive procedure that, when performed in conjunction with t-PA administration, can stop a stroke in its tracks.

How It Works

A neurosurgeon uses new generation, catheter-based technology called stent retrievers to capture the clot and pull it out of the artery (large vessel, carotid, etc.) immediately restoring blood flow to the brain.

The procedure is used in conjunction with t-PA administration to maximize patient outcomes. This means minimizing or completely eliminating long-term side effects of stroke, such as speech, dexterity and mobility issues.
