Flu is prevalent in our community right now. Visit our Flu Resource Center to learn about flu prevention, signs and symptoms, and help us protect our patients, families and staff from RSV and the flu by following these visitation restrictions.

  • No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed in patient care areas.
  • Please do not visit patients if you are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea or cold or flu-like symptoms.

Shopping in Support of Breast Cancer Research

WakeMed is proud to partner with Saks Fifth Avenue on the 2010 Key to the Cure event, a charity shopping weekend benefiting breast cancer research.  Between Thursday, October 21 and Sunday, October 24, Saks Fifth Avenue in Raleigh will host a charity weekend, donating two percent of sales to WakeMed in support of women’s cancer.  And, WakeMed will offer free health screenings to shoppers. 

Please plan on joining us for these events in support of a great cause.

Health screenings are an important part of preventive health care.  Stop by for free cholesterol check, blood pressure and bone density screening. Plus, we’ll have lots of health information on hand to help keep you and your family healthy.  Free and open to the public. No registration required.
