Flu is prevalent in our community right now. Visit our Flu Resource Center to learn about flu prevention, signs and symptoms, and help us protect our patients, families and staff from RSV and the flu by following these visitation restrictions.

  • No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed in patient care areas.
  • Please do not visit patients if you are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea or cold or flu-like symptoms.

Garner: Walk With WakeMed Next Sunday

Garner community come Walk with WakeMed next Sunday, March 10 in White Deer Park.   The event will include a one or two mile family friendly walk led by Wake Specialty Physicians – Garner Primary Care doctors, music, kids activities, health education and an appearance by Twinkle, WakeMed Children’s mascot.

The benefits of walking include a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, diabetes, and dementia.  Walking also improves your energy level and mental outlook, resulting in better sleep and more.  A pair of shoes is all you need to get on the path to better health.

Date: Sunday, March 10

Time: Walk starts at 2:00 p.m.

Location: White Deer Park, Aversboro Rd., Garner
