WakeMed Named N.C. Family-Friendly Company

August 28, 2013

We are proud to once again have been named to Carolina Parent magazine’s Family Friendly 50 list.

Organizations selected for this award show a commitment to family and a healthy work-life balance, supporting families and working parents.  WakeMed offers family-oriented health benefits, paid maternity and paternity leave, child care benefits, tuition reimbursement, family support, work-life training and much more to help employees balance their work life with their life at home.

Our family-friendly culture and benefits also includes flexible shifts for employees to choose the work schedule that best suits them and their family’s needs.  Options include flextime, part-time or three-quarter time work and job sharing, just to name a few.

“We value work-life balance to help our dedicated employees achieve professional success as well as personal growth,” commented Jeanene Martin,  senior vice president of Human Resources.  “WakeMed prides itself on being a family-friendly employer, especially as a hospital system that provides patient care 24/7.  We are committed to offering flexible options to our talented employees, while still keeping our patients’ needs first.”
