.Dr. Kevin Davidson is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care. He joined the WakeMed team after training at University of Colorado and National Jewish Health, a top ranked Pulmonary & Critical Care fellowship. He completed additional fellowship subspecialty training in Interventional Pulmonology and is board certified in three concentrations. “This training allows our team to perform minimally invasive procedures for disorders of the lungs and chest as well as therapies for a large array of pulmonary problems.” Dr. Davidson works in our intensive care units, pulmonary clinics, and performs advanced pulmonary procedures.
Dr. Davidson’s philosophy is to empower patients and their families with the detailed information and medical knowledge needed to help them understand and gain control over their own health. Twice he has been recognized by the Gold Humanism Honor Society for compassionate care towards patients. “I often meet patients when they are faced with uncertainty and difficult circumstances. I seek to get rapid safe answers for patients and provide top-notch care." Dr. Davidson has also spoken nationally about public health concerns. Outside of work, Dr. Davidson lives in the Triangle with his wife and daughter. When not at work, they enjoy spending time outdoors with their dog.

Before scheduling an appointment with either a WakeMed employed provider or a community-based affiliated physician, we encourage you to contact your insurance company to verify that the location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co-insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility.
