Dr. Karen Todd is a pediatric specialist with clinical interests in asthma, child abuse and neglect, immunizations, and public health.
After earning her Doctor of Medicine, Dr. Todd completed a pediatric internship at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, and a pediatric residency at Duke University Medical School. She then began her career in private practice as a pediatrician with Cornerstone Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine in Cary. Since leaving there in 2017, she has worked as a child medical examiner at SAFEchild Advocacy Center in Raleigh. In addition, she is a physician educator on HPV vaccine communication at the University of North Carolina. She is completing her Master’s in Public Health at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
Dr. Todd volunteers at Curamericas Global to facilitate maternal and child health care in communities in underserved parts of the world.

Personal interests include doing yoga, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Todd’s clinical interests include educating and monitoring children with asthma, child abuse and neglect, immunizations, and guiding students interested in medicine as a possible career choice.
