Dr. Sukaina Ahmad is a board certified physician who is passionate about women’s health and preventive medicine. A North Carolina native, Dr. Ahmad is originally from Chapel Hill. During her college years, Dr. Ahmad helped her mother recover from an illness and, through this experience, was inspired to pursue medicine as a career.
Dr. Ahmad believes strongly in the benefits of living a healthy, active lifestyle and in making one’s own health and well-being a top priority. She also enjoys working with patients who are from a diverse collection of backgrounds and cultures. Prior to joining WakeMed, Dr. Ahmad worked at Neuse Valley Internal Medicine in Raleigh, N.C., and also served as an internist at the University of Cincinnati (UC) in Cincinnati, Ohio.
