Dr. Kavitta Allem is a fellowship-trained rheumatologist with clinical interests in a wide range of diseases including lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis and advanced osteoporosis.  In addition, she specializes in managing crystal related arthritis including gout and pseudogout, and treats vasculitides including giant cell arteritis and ANCA associated vasculitis.  

Dr. Allem focuses on a whole body approach to patient care emphasizing total well-being for her patients.  Her treatment standards include lifestyle modifications, various joint injections including viscosupplementation and a wide range of advanced autoimmune medications including infusions. In addition, she is trained in advanced ultrasound imaging for diagnosing and managing joint diseases using a minimally invasive approach.  She has authored numerous publications including reviews on scleroderma and medication management in various autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Allem and her husband enjoy raising their children and exploring local restaurants, parks and beaches.
