Over 7,000 babies are delivered within the WakeMed system each year - more than any other health care system in Wake County.

At WakeMed Women's Pavilion & Birthplace, mothers and families come first.  The flexible, family-centered approach allows mothers to make their own choices about how they will deliver their babies, giving them the freedom to choose any medically safe method of delivery.

WakeMed assists each mother in developing a birth plan tailored to her needs and welcomes a mother's choice of support persons during labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care.
