Dedicated Care & Caring
Our number one priority is ensuring your experience before, during and after the birth of your baby is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and that we are supporting all of your needs with the highest quality of care and caring.
Not only do we offer classes to prepare you for the birth of your child, we also invite you to tour our facility and speak with our team before your baby is born.
Breastfeeding support is also a major focus at WakeMed. In fact both WakeMed Women's Pavilion & Birthplaces received the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) Care Award, which recognizes hospitals, birthing facilities, and birthing services that have International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) and have a dedicated lactation support program available at least five days a week.
Advanced Care for Babies Who Need It
In the event you encounter any problems with your baby's birth, or if your baby requires special attention, you can rest assured that your baby is in good hands. We offer a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery on our Raleigh Campus and a Level III Special Care Nursery at our Cary Hospital - both staffed by highly skilled neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners.
After the birth of your child, we are also here to support you with classes and other resources helpful for new parents and parents with newborns.
Once you have a baby at WakeMed, you and your family are always a part of our family. We hope you will continue to lean on us as a trusted resource and important part of your child's growth and development.
