Epic Update: Training and Meetings and Testing, Oh My!
This week, more than 130 directors, managers, supervisors, clinical coordinators and nurse educators from across the health system gathered for “Clinical Readiness Day” to share the latest information about training, reporting, patient safety and go-live logistics. Next week, the third mock cutover training will be held to give clinicians, PARs, pharmacists, analysts, IS, Epic staff and others the opportunity to walk through the many, many steps that need to happen in the hours before and after go-live. From back loading patient information into Epic to distributing new arm bands at midnight, mock cutover is a great opportunity to ensure that our processes will support a smooth transition. These events are just a few of many that demonstrate our system-wide “ramp-up” as we get closer to go-live – just 50 days away!
