Appointments & Physician Referral
Appointments - Patients are welcome to contact WakeMed OneCall to schedule screening mammograms. WakeMed OneCall schedules imaging services for patients and physician practices calling on behalf of patients. If a patient needs a same-day appointment, a physician practice is welcome to call WakeMed Imaging Concierge Services at 919-350-8566.
Referrals - A physician referral is necessary for all WakeMed Imaging Services procedures except screening mammography. WakeMed OneCall manages all physician referrals for imaging services. Please contact WakeMed OneCall at 919-350-7000. OneCall Fax Number - 919-350-8959

Our Physicians & Staff
All WakeMed Imaging Services radiology physicians are certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), and all technologists are registered in their respective modalities.
 Gold Standard Accreditation
WakeMed Imaging Services is American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited in Breast Ultrasound, CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, and Ultrasound. The ACR accreditation is a peer-reviewed, educationally focused evaluation process to help ensure patients receive the highest level of image quality and safety.
To achieve the ACR Gold Standard of Accreditation, our facility's personnel qualifications, equipment requirements, quality assurance, and quality control procedures have gone through a rigorous review process and have met specific qualifications. It's important for patients to know that every aspect of the ACR accreditation process is overseen by board certified radiologists and medical physicists who are experts in advanced diagnostic imaging.
WakeMed Cary Hospital and WakeMed North Healthplex are designated as Breast Care Center of Excellence sites.
Communicating Test Results
The faster the primary care physician receives imaging test results, the faster patients can begin treatment and get on the road to recovery. We make every effort to streamline this process.
