The Volunteers at WakeMed Raleigh Campus Hospital is a 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 56-0749114 established in 1961 when WakeMed Raleigh Campus opened its doors. Their countless hours of patient service continue to help WakeMed staff and physicians care for all who enter our doors.

In fiscal year 2012, 932 volunteers contributed more than 82,562 hours to assist our patients, staff and visitors.
Provide huggables, quilts, baby caps and other hand-made gifts to patients of all ages.
Serve as Patient Relations Ambassadors, who provide an extra level of customer service to thousands of patients
