The same could be said for those close to the patient such as family and friends. That's why the Heart Center Inn at the WakeMed Heart Center was created: to provide care, comfort and compassion to those seeking the Heart Center's services.
The Heart Center Inn is a 38-room facility located on the WakeMed Heart Center's top floor. It operates just like a hotel and is competitively priced while offering the utmost in convenience, special resources and services.

The Heart Center's patients like staying at the Inn for the convenience factor. Patients traveling to the Heart Center, and even those in our own backyard, like to stay the night before a morning procedure. Or if the patient is discharged from the hospital in the evening and prefers not to travel a long distance home, the Inn offers a comfortable option. Patients staying in a Heart Center Inn room pre- or post-procedure can do so at a discounted rate.
For family members of cardiac patients who require staying in the hospital overnight or for several days following a procedure, the Inn's close location to the patient rooms provides ease and comfortable rest during an anxious time. Inn guests are just an elevator ride away from their loved ones recovering in the hospital.

Complimentary heart healthy continental breakfast is offered daily from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Vending areas includes snacks and cold drinks as well as an ice machine.
The Heart Center Inn Resource Center is a unique center equipped with educational videos, models and literature on heart disease and prevention. It also has computers linked to the Internet and health-related web sites.
Guest Services staff that can answer questions, provide directions and even assistance with contacting your physician's office or Heart Center information. However, medical care is not provided in the Inn.
Spiritual Care services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and a small chapel in the main hospital is open at all times for prayer and meditation.
WakeMed's Café 3000 serves meals three times a day and offers a variety of selections. Hours are 6:30 am to 8 pm daily. A limited menu is offered from midnight to 4 am.
The WakeMed Gift Shop is located in the lobby just inside the hospital's Visitor Entrance.
Room rates are at or below the area's current commercial rates.
Special patient adjustment rates are given to those patients staying in a room before or after a procedure. Please inquire with Guest Services staff for more details. All rates are subject to change and do not include local and state taxes. In-state personal checks, cash, Visa, Discover and Mastercard are accepted. Account holder must be present and payment is required at check-in. Payment for the Inn is separate from patient charges incurred while in the hospital.
Reservations can be made by calling the front desk at 919-350-7777. Reservations are canceled after 9 pm on the day of arrival unless advance notification of late arrival is given.
WakeMed Heart Center patients who are guests before or after a procedure must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
Free parking is available for Heart Center Inn guests in the parking garage adjacent to the WakeMed Heart Center (P2 Purple). You will be asked to provide your vehicle tag number for security purposed at check-in. For guests arriving on weekends or after hours, the WakeMed Heart Center's front entrance is locked. Access to the Inn is via the side entrance closest to the parking deck.
Children under the age of 18 are welcome to stay at the Heart Center Inn, however, they must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. WakeMed is a smoke-free and alcohol-free organization. Smoking and/or consumption of alcohol are prohibited.
