PARKING:
The WakeMed Physician Practices — Primary Care — Downtown Raleigh Parking Deck at 429 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, is available for patient parking. There are two entry points to this parking deck -- on South Blount Street and South Wilmington Street.

From within the center of the parking deck, take the elevators to the ground floor, exit the lobby on to Davie Street and turn right. The entrance to City Center Medical Group’s offices are steps away at 150 E. Davie Street. Please remember to bring your parking ticket with you as we will validate it for free parking.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
For your first visit, please review our Notice of Privacy Practices and bring the following items with you.

  • A copy of your insurance information
  • All of your medication bottles with you to each visit. This allows us to keep our records current and is especially important when physicians from other offices are providing medications for you.
  • Any old records including immunization records or documents from other physicians to your visit.

Subsequent Visits

  • Bring insurance information and all of your medication bottles with you.
  • Please note that if this is a follow-up appointment, the time is reserved specifically to monitor your medication use, and the schedule won't allow for discussion of other issues. You will need to schedule an additional visit for other problems.

APPOINTMENTS:

Appointments: Our office is open Monday through Friday from 7 am until 4:30 pm and you can call 919-834-5299 to schedule an appointment. New patient appointments and annual physical exams are 30 minutes and follow-up appointments are 15 minutes. For new patient appointments, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time and 5 minutes prior for follow-up appointments to register and fill out appropriate paperwork. If you need to cancel an appointment please try to do so 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you arrive 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may be asked to reschedule.

Same Day Sick Visits: We offer  same day sick visits and will try to accommodate you as quickly as possible.  You do not have to be an established patient of the practice to schedule a sick visit.  We understand that many people who work downtown may not have time to drive to their regular primary care doctor for a quick sick visit, so we are pleased to offer this service.

Labs: If you need a cholesterol panel or a fasting blood sugar checked you should arrive fasting for your lab work. It generally takes 2-4 days for labs to return and you will be notified by phone or by letter about your results. You may be asked to come in for an appointment to discuss some lab results. If you haven't heard from us about your labs or studies in 7-10 days please give us a call at the office.

Prescriptions: We use an electronic medical record to generate all of our prescriptions. Please call your pharmacy first to request medication refills. We can also refill medications during your appointment and please indicate if you prefer 30 day or 90 day prescriptions. Knowing the name and street address of your pharmacy is always helpful.

Billing: All billing issues are handled through the WakeMed billing department at 919-350-8359.

After Hours/On-Call: If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency you should call 911 or proceed to the closest emergency department. We are committed to ensuring access to our providers after hours and on holidays and ask that you reserve your calls for emergencies only. We share call with the other primary care providers in our network. We can provide the best continuity of care if you go to a WakeMed facility for emergencies, however you should go wherever you are most comfortable.
