The Volunteers at WakeMed Cary Hospital Hosting 12th Annual Charity Golf Outing

CARY, N.C. (October 25, 2010) – The Volunteers at WakeMed Cary Hospital have partnered with the WakeMed Foundation to host their 12th Annual Charity Golf Outing today at MacGregor Downs Country Club.

This year, 120 players are on board and 35 corporate sponsorships have been secured, supporting the goal of raising $25,000. Proceeds will benefit programs and services provided by The Volunteers at WakeMed Cary Hospital and the new WakeMed Children's Hospital located on WakeMed’s Raleigh Campus.

Media is invited to attend. Shotgun start is scheduled for 11:00 am at MacGregor Downs Country Club, 430 Saint Andrews Lane, Cary, NC 27511.

The Volunteers at WakeMed Cary Hospital are a valuable part of WakeMed Health & Hospitals. Last year, more than 600 volunteers donated nearly 55,000 hours of service to support patients, families, visitors, and staff.
