WakeMed Recognizes 46 Employees for Outstanding Performance

RALEIGH, N.C. (October 31, 2008) – WakeMed Health & Hospitals today announced the recipients of the annual Circle of Excellence Award. The 46 winners were nominated by fellow employees for outstanding performance in five categories that are directly linked to WakeMed’s strategic plan.

The Circle of Excellence is the highest level of honor that WakeMed bestows upon a select group of employees each year who demonstrate outstanding performance in achieving Quality Outcomes, Unsurpassed Service, Workforce Excellence, Market Development and Fiscal Responsibility.

Winners were recognized at a hospital reception and a formal banquet ceremony on Tuesday, October 21. They receive a statuette, lapel pin, one paid day off and are featured in WakeMed’s employee publication, Microscope.
