RN Fellow Orientation
All new RN Fellows are required to attend a general orientation program before reporting to their work area.
The orientation will provide valuable information about WakeMed policies and procedures, benefits, available services, work safety practices, and employee health and wellness.
Systemwide Orientation is generally held every Monday (except holidays); from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM on the ground level of the Medical Office Building at the Raleigh Campus.
Clinical Orientation Day I (Tuesday)
All RN Fellows are required to attend Day I of Clinical Orientation (Orientation on designated Tuesdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM).
Day I of Clinical Orientation is held in MOB#1, but ends in IS Training Classroom at WakeMed Raleigh Campus, on designated Tuesdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
The Medication Administration Test will be given as a computer-based test on Tuesday.
Computer Training Day (Wednesday)
All RN Fellows are required to attend Computer Training on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM in the IS Training Room.
Clinical Orientation Day II (Thursday)
All RN Fellows will attend Day II of Clinical Orientation on designated Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For Raleigh Campus, the location is Nsg Ed Classroom B on ground floor of the hospital; for Cary, the location is IS Training Lab - Ground Floor.
Department-Specific Orientation: You will also receive department orientation specific to your area and job responsibilities. Your department leader will schedule this training.
