Standing ready to provide immediate care for the seriously injured, the WakeMed Trauma Center team is guided under the leadership of Osi Udekwu, MD.
In addition to acting as the Director of Trauma Services at WakeMed, Dr. Udekwu serves as the Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at WakeMed.
WakeMed's team of trauma surgeons are responsible for the management of major trauma and are supported by a wide variety of professionals in the emergency department, including:
