 Scheduling Outpatient Procedures
Other than screening mammograms, all Imaging Services procedures must be scheduled by the referring physician's office. Procedures must be scheduled with the One-Call Scheduling department at 919-350-6951.
Physician Orders
A physician's order must be either faxed to the scheduling department or brought with you on the day of your appointment.
Imaging Services procedures are performed only with a written and signed order of a medical practitioner licensed to practice in North Carolina to include physicians, chiropractors, dentists, osteopathologists, interns, residents, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
A stat (immediate) order for a procedure does not mean that a stat reading will be delivered. If a stat reading is necessary, the referring physician should provide all contact information.
Although a written physician order is not required to schedule a mammogram, the contact information for the practitioner who should receive the report must be provided at the time of scheduling.
