Balsamic Mushrooms


Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
(Total time will vary with appliance and setting.)
Level of Difficulty: Quick & Easy

1 Tbsp olive oil
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup oregano, chopped
1/4 cup thyme, chopped
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup high-quality balsamic vinegar
3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1/8 tsp sea salt
1/8 tsp black pepper

1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Once pot is warm, add mushrooms and a small amount of olive oil.

2. Stir until mushrooms are slightly browned. Add garlic, herbs, and dry spice. Cook 1 minute. Add vinegar, sugar and oil. Bring to a boil, then simmer 4 to 5 minutes.

3. Season and cool, then refrigerate. Will keep 2 to 3 weeks.
